After more than ten years of supplying Ottawa area restaurants and specialty retail shops, Butterfly Sky Farms is proud to announce that we will be adding a special new feature; Field and greenhouse grown produce grown especially for keen juicers, made available through our new Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) baskets program.
Only fifty shares available. Our CSA program will run from July 1st, 2017 to October 1st, 2017 (13 weeks).
Our weekly basket or half basket, containing organically grown vegetables will be geared toward people interested in enjoying the benefits of juicing fresh produce multiple times per week over the growing season or just plain love summer fresh veggies to enjoy, however!
A typical weekly basket will include:
1 pound shoots (pea, sunflower, wheatgrass, buckwheat), 100 grams microgreen mix, six greenhouse cucumbers, big bunch carrots, big bunch beets, small bunch Swiss chard (bi-weekly), 1 bunch collards (bi-weekly), one large romaine, one fancy lettuce (bibb, oakleaf or lolla rossa), one bunch herbs (cilantro, parsley, mint, thyme, fennel, basil), 1 or 2 mini cabbage, 2 or 3 medium sized zucchini, one sweet pepper and a pint cherry tomatoes (greenhouse), one onion, 1/2 to 1 pound sweet potatoes.
If that seems like too much for you, we are also offering a half basket.
The cost for a full basket is $1,040 for the 13 week program. This works out to $80 /week. Half baskets are $520. Payment is due immediately because this reserves your basket and helps us to buy seed, plant and care for the veggies at our local farm. Your support is critical to our being able to supply you with our best and freshest offerings.
